The Violin , Guitar and Sax

It's a rare occasion that you have 3 dynamic, creative and unique guest on the show. Well such was the cast on Sunday (10-22-06) Robert Gordon III, Hedi Maxwell, and Lance Wolfe, stopped by and gave the listeners a real treat. Robert Gordon is a violin maker. He really does it all, (sell, teach, consult, et al, That's right, He can turn a tree into a violin. It's part of the family tradition. I actually got a chance to meet his father at Robert's downtown studio. Not only is it a very interesting profession, but those little buggers don't come cheep. If you've ever had the chance to look really close at one, you'd know that some serious craftsmanship’s is built right in. Robert's coming back on the show when Carl Rahkonen visits. He was a great guest and when he comes back, we all will learn more about the wonderful violin.

Hedi Maxwell, currently lives in North Carolina, she grew up in Homer City. She's a singer songwriter with a new song, Home to Pennsylvania. I love'd her songs. I can tell that she not only loves music, but really enjoys playing. I hope when she comes home, that she'll come back on the show.

Lance is always a great guest. This young man is so talented. I appreciate him sharing the story about his braces, though parts were hard to take. I've always loved wind instruments, and Lance make it look easier..

What a show! Local folks sharing what they know. I hope you had a chance to listen. If not, the show will be posted on the acoustic hour website for the entire world to hear.
