Waterman

It's official folks. My video Waterman has been accepted into the 2007 Johnstown Film Festival on July 12th @ 8:00 for it's first official screening.

The video is Tim Dabbs's official First work from his brand new CD Safely Home.
It is truly and honor to get the video in the festival and I'm glad that folks will not see it. Tim is an outstanding Singer/song writer and it would be easy to call hisVideo a just a music video.

It's far from that.. I had to listen to the song 20 times to catch all the historic information Tim packed in the song. His songwriting and phrasing is so subtle that you'll miss the good stuff.

The video allows for the listener to also see story unfold. You'll be taken along for a ride on the historic ship. How cool is that.

I hope the Johnstown Film Festival audience enjoys Waterman. It's true to Tim's legacy.. in that... he's best when he tells stories.

Fathers and Sons

The formal day to pay tribute to Fathers is coming this weekend. As it does every year. As it should. Fathers play a key role in familes and in the development of children. Fathers may not always be the biological parnets, nor even related. But their impact and position no do shape the lives of kids especially boys.

http://anthony-kaleb.blogspot.com/

Kevin and Kaleb are an example of that. I Met Kevin a few years ago and was impressed immediately with his heart. He has a lovely family with 2 wonderful kids. No they aren't the perfect family but who has one of those? The McCullough's are members of the Nazarene Church in Homer City. They make me feel at home and anyone who's knows them, will tell you that they live what they believe.

I've had the honor of meeting a host of cool dads out there... Many of them artists and musicians ... way to many to name. But they all have in common 3 things.

Love of and for Family, Humility, and Honesty... what great things to pass on to your kids.

Happy Father's day dads... Whether your kids are with you, whole or broken, you still deserve the tribute. It's because of the path that you have forged, that we have a starting point to begin our journey.
