HOSPICE PROJECT
Folks,
We have finally finished the Hospice Project. Back in November I finished writing a song for Hospice and was invited to play the song at their annual November Hospice Event. The song is called Memories Wings. It was released to Hospice in November. According to the agency, they are planning to take the song to a National. How cool would that be?
I put the call out and invited a number of local musicians and singers to help. We begin recording with Sean Moran at Mostuda Productions, Indiana County in early November 2006. Sean Moran engineered an produced 2 of the CD tracks, Sean worked tirelessly with about 27 different artists.
I am very grateful for what Sean Moran has been able to accomplish with our latest effort. During the recording process, Hospice held an in-house event for the formal handing over of the song. It was a nice time, with about 40 people attending. It was nice to see some staff, nurses, and musicians at the event.
I was able to finish the project at Tim Dabbs studio, Hands and Harmony in Johnstown PA. Tim recorded the solo acoustic version and assisted musically by playing guitar and bass. This was my first time recording with Tim Dabbs and I had a great time. He really knows his stuff.
I'm not kidding. He's knows how to get the best sound out of your guitar. I'm so thankful of what he has done. I will be recording with him in the future, no doubt!
So the project is finished and the all the recording and mastering is done.
What an experience! The Bottom-line is, I hope that I hope the songs on this CD help to bring some form of comfort to those experiencing loss. It hurts to lose someone, and I know that you keep that with you for the rest of your life. I am forever grateful for all the hard work and talent that was put into the project Memories Wings.
Thank you all.
